Hello World

The life of a developer is riddled with various “Hello World”-esque situations.

This is one of them. If this message can be seen on my blog, then my experiment has proven successful, and I now have the ability to post to my blog via e-mail.

However, I am taking great care in making this more than just a simple “Hello World,” as I intend on keeping this post if it works.

And now, I have explained myself.

Ice Road Truckers

Imagine a guy who looks exactly like me, sitting at a computer that looks exactly like mine, looking at a website that looks exactly like hulu.com.

It’s me!

Whilst randomly browsing hulu in order to determine if the world of television had anything to offer me (entertainment-wise), I came upon this little gold nugget:

This has got to be one of the most epic pictures I have ever seen.

Now, I haven’t watched any of this show, so I can’t tell if it’s good, but if it’s anywhere near as epic as the picture on hulu, then this show must be awesome!

It’s comedy night!

Tonight, I finally got around to watching Accepted. It was ok, but I’d have to honestly say that my favorite college comedy is still Revenge of the Nerds.

Watching Accepted did, however, inspire me to have a mini-comedy night. Next up… actually, I don’t know what’s next. Maybe Netflix will know?

Oh, and also… Jonah Hill is hilarious. Come on world, cast him in more stuff.

People are not fundamentally open-minded

As promised, I am posting a blog about how people are not fundamentally open-minded and kind, and ultimately xenophobic.

This admittedly all-encompassing statement stems from an experience I had on Monday night, but pretty much sums up the experience I’ve had with people thus far.

Given the fact that it is about 4:00 AM, I’ll spare too much elaboration. I must be off to bed. Pardon my grammar/spelling/brevity, for I am tired.

ALF!

On this wonderous invention we like to call the Internet, there is a magical world by the name of YouTube. On the YouTubes, there are television shows that you can’t find anywhere else (or at least, quite to easily). One of these shows is called ALF, and it’s what this blog post is all about.

This little rascal is the man (alien?) himself. The shows can be found on YouTube here. They’ve been making me laugh like crazy for the past few days, so I thought I’d share them with you.

Oh, by the way, the first few episodes are a bit campy, but they get better… I promise.
