There has been quite a bit of debate over Obamacare. I want to focus on just a couple aspects of it.

• The debate over the constitutionality of Obamacare
• The similarities between Obamacare and Romneycare

My answer: The constitutionality of Obamacare does not effect the validity of Romneycare, since Romneycare had to act within the bounds of the Massachusetts constitution and not the U.S. Constitution, since Romneycare only affected people and businesses in Massachusetts and did not fall under the interstate commerce clause of the U.S. Constitution. Obamacare, however, violates the U.S. Constitution under which it must comply.

This is a quick thing that I threw together as a response to a facebook post from a friend of mine.

For those of you wanting to get in touch with me, contact my parents, they have my address (and they’ll be very happy to help, I’m sure. Or, if we are friends on Facebook, then my address will show up on the “Info” tab (given that Facebook still has an “Info” tab. Facebook has been known to drastically change their layout in the past, and I’m assuming the layout they have as of right now, August 7th, 2009.

Anyway, hopefully nobody hacks the site when I’m gone *knocks on wood*.

ALSO! Leave me comments on this blog or Facebook telling me what movies/songs/TV shows I need to get a hold of when I get back! I’m hoping for a massive cultural overload to envelop me upon returning.

P.S. For those of you who hold only a trivial interest in my life, I am going to the Dominican Republic for two years to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
