Climate Change… oh no!
Disclaimer: I have seen An Inconvenient Truth in its entirety and looked at various other sites that claim global warming is man-made, so I’m not only seeing one side.
Currently, I am watching The Great Global Warming Swindle, and it is much more convincing in its delivery than Al Gore’s documentary. I’m not in any kid of mood to list out the evidence right now, but everybody who ever wants to talk about global warming in any kind of public setting needs to watch this movie. Go to this website to order one, or you might possibly be able to view it on the internet for free somewhere. Either way, you need to watch this movie. Yes, this includes you.
Last Night’s Presidential Debate
Love to hate him (or hate to love him?)
I know the trailer has been out for a while (believe me, I know), but I recently saw it again and decided to blog about it.
The newest in the set of Oliver Stone films is a movie centered around George W. Bush’s life, simply named “W.”
Now, there are many directions that this film could go in. It could go in the direction of exposing GWB as just another member of the ruling elite that decides to party it up in their younger years, but eventually straightening out and realizing their oh-so-holy “higher calling”… That rendition would probably be the most accurate. Another possible take would be to view GWB as an incompetent and undeserving idiot that just BSed his way through life because he came from an extremely wealthy family. Or, Oliver Stone’s interpretation could be entirely different. Who knows?
Point is, I can’t wait to see the movie.
On a side note, there’s always the alternative way of looking at it. As the ever-entertaining shaycarl put it, GWB could be the Dark Knight: doing the unpopular thing when America needs it most, while gaining heavy criticism from the media and the masses (who really knows for sure?).
